Gov. Okorocha Cries As IGP Refuses To Obey His Shocking Order – Read

Imo state governor, Mr. Rochas Okorocha, is unhappy. This is because his effort to seek presidential intervention in cancellation of the outcome of last Saturday’s Ward Congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state has hit a brick wall.

Okorocha, who was roundly humiliated by powerful forces within the party in Imo state, was yesterday at the office of the Inspector General of Police in Abuja seeking to get him to order the Police to take some actions that would be pleasing to him and his supporters.

042report learnt that the IGP, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, rebuffed Okorocha’s attempt to force his hands.

Our Source within the IGP’s office said the Police boss pointedly told Okorocha that he had no instructions to help him.

According to our source, Okorocha, who had run to Daura, Katsina state, to plead with President Muhammadu Buhari to order a cancellation of outcome of the congress, was disappointed when the President told him that he has no hand in party matters.

Frustrated, our correspondent gathered that Okorocha ran to the IGP asking that he order the Police to take action against those he claimed worked against him at the congress.

It was gathered that he specifically complained to the IGP against an alleged conduct of National Organising Secretary of the APC, Osita Izunaso, Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu and Sen. Ifeanyi Araraume.

He was also said to have complained that the committee sent by the APC to conduct the congress may have been compromised.

However, 042report learnt that the IGP, who is billed to travel with the President to inspect killing fields of Kaduna and Zamfara state, told Governor Okorocha that he could not assist him in the circumstance.

A disappointed Okorocha was said to have left the IGP’s office crestfallen and in tears.
